A sensational case of murder came to light on the intervening night of Saturday (21 February) and Sunday (22 February) in Amarth Naya Mohalla of Jamui Town police station area of Bihar. Here the eccentric husband Mohammad Irfan Ansari brutally murdered his own wife Tarannum alias Tarana by slitting her throat with a sharp weapon. After committing the incident, he himself reached the town police station and confessed to the crime and surrendered.
On Sunday morning around 8:00 am, SDPO Satish Suman and Police Station Head Amarendra Kumar arrived with their team and recovered the sharp edged weapon used in the incident. The incident is being investigated. Forensic investigation team also reached the spot. The reason for the incident is said to be a domestic dispute. It is said that Tarannum alias Tarana, daughter of Mohammad Anwar Ansari, resident of Neema Mohalla, was married to Irfan Ansari, son of Mohammad Lukman Ansari, resident of Amrat Naya Mohalla, 8 years ago. Everything was fine after marriage, but Irfan Ansari used to consume alcohol excessively. He had beaten his wife several times after drinking alcohol. A Panchayat was also held regarding this matter.

According to the information, the dispute between the two was resolved six months ago by holding a Panchayat, despite this Mohammad Irfan Ansari continued to drink alcohol and beat him mercilessly and had even threatened to kill him several times. Due to this domestic dispute, Mohammad Irfan Ansari brutally murdered his wife by slitting her throat with a sharp weapon and surrendered himself after reaching the town police station. Also confessed to all the crimes in front of the police.
