The long wait of seven years is going to end on Sunday. With this, the speed of Meerut is going to get a new track. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath are coming to dedicate to the public the 82 km long Rapid Corridor from Sarai Kale Khan to Modipuram in Delhi.
Earlier, the Prime Minister had started operating the Namo Bharat train on the 55 km long rapid corridor. Now the public will get the gift of Namo Bharat and Meerut Metro train on the remaining corridor of 23 km from Meerut South to Modipuram and 5 km from New Ashok Nagar to Sarai Kale Khan.
Apart from this, the Prime Minister will gift many other development schemes to Meerut. All the stations have been grandly decorated for the inauguration program of Meerut Metro and Namo Bharat Train. Shatabdi Nagar and Meerut South Metro stations, where the Prime Minister and the Chief Minister are proposed to stay, have been specially decorated with flowers, electric chandeliers, saffron colored flex and BJP flags.
