Four people died in a massive collision between a Bolero jeep and a bike on Friday evening near Karanpura village near Gangadhar town on the Dag-Chaumhala road in Jhalawar district. Three people died on the spot, while one person died after being brought to the hospital. The identity of the deceased will be completely clear only after the arrival of the family members.

Police reached the spotthe injured were brought to the hospital

DSP Hemant Gautam said that this accident happened near Karanpura village late on Friday evening. On receiving the information, police reached the spot and all the injured were taken to Chaumahla Government Hospital by ambulance. After the accident the jeep driver fled from the spot.

According to the villagers, four persons were riding on a bike. The bike was going from Dug towards Gangdhar, while the jeep was coming from Gangdhar towards Dug. The collision was so severe that all four bikers died.

The deceased are said to be from Madhya Pradesh

According to the police, all four deceased are said to be from the neighboring state Madhya Pradesh region. Aadhaar cards of three people have been found from the bags of the deceased, on the basis of which the process of identification is being done. DSP said that the identity will be officially confirmed only after the family members reach Chaumahla. Gangdhar police station officer Amarnath Yogi said that two of the four deceased have been identified on the basis of Aadhaar cards, while the identity of the other two will be clear only after their families reach the hospital.

Postmortem proceedings after the arrival of family members

Police said that the family members have been informed about the incident and they have left from Madhya Pradesh area. Post mortem will be conducted the next day after their arrival. Only after the identification is completed will it be clear for what purpose the deceased had come and where they were going.
