Mumbai. Experienced umpires Richard Kettleborough and Chris Gaffney have been given responsibility on the field for the match between India and South Africa in the Super-8 round of the T20 World Cup to be held in Ahmedabad on Sunday. The International Cricket Council confirmed this on Friday. He will be accompanied by TV umpire Alex Wharfe and fourth umpire Chris Brown. Super-8 will start with the Group-2 match in Colombo on Saturday, where Pakistan will face New Zealand.

According to the ICC statement, Rodney Tucker and Paul Raffaele will umpire on the field in this match. Allahuddin Palekar will play the role of TV umpire and Sam Nogajski will be the fourth umpire. According to the ICC, Tucker and Nogajski will also umpire the match between Sri Lanka and Pakistan in Kandy on February 28. At the same time, on February 24, Nogajski will umpire along with Nitin Menon in the match between England and Pakistan on the same ground. Adrian Holdstock and Ahsan Raza have been appointed umpires for the match between Sri Lanka and England in Kandy on Sunday and the match between England and New Zealand on February 27.

Palekar and Asif Yaqoob will officiate in the match between Sri Lanka and New Zealand to be held in Colombo on 25 February. Gaffney and Wharfe will take charge in the last match of Super-8 between India and West Indies in Kolkata on March 1. At the same time, on February 26, the pair of Wharf and Kettleborough will be on the field in the match between the co-host team and Zimbabwe.

Richard Illingworth and Jayraman Madangopal will officiate in the match between Zimbabwe and West Indies to be held in Mumbai on 23 February. Shahid Saikat and Kumar Dharmasena will be the umpires in the match between West Indies and South Africa on 26 February.

Dharmasena will again umpire with Illingworth in the match between South Africa and Zimbabwe on March 1. Ranjan Madugalle, Andrew Pycroft, Richie Richardson and Javagal Srinath will continue to act as match referees in the Super-8 round.
