UP CM Yogi Adityanath will be in Japan on 25-26 February. He will participate in various programs there. Japan’s state-of-the-art Maglev (Magnetic Levitation) train, which floats above the tracks with the help of magnetic power, is going to be a special attraction of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s visit to Japan. During his stay, the Chief Minister can undertake a test journey of 100 kilometers in this high-speed train, which will include 50 kilometers forward and 50 kilometers return.
Maglev train is being considered as the future of modern transport system. Due to magnetic technology, direct contact between the train and the track is eliminated, reducing friction to almost zero. This is the reason why this train is capable of achieving a speed of more than 600 kilometers per hour. Japan is working rapidly towards opening the maglev corridor between Tokyo and Nagoya by the year 2027, after which the travel time between the two cities will be reduced to less than half.
Yogi Adityanath’s visit to Japan is very important
According to experts, this visit of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is not limited only to technical curiosity, but it is also being considered important from the point of view of expanding modern transport infrastructure in Uttar Pradesh. Dynamic infrastructure is already being developed in the state through projects like expressways, metro and regional rapid transit systems. In such a situation, direct experience of future technology like Maglev is being considered useful for policy making and long-term planning.
Maglev train is an example of Japan’s technological capability!
According to Japanese experts, superconducting magnets and state-of-the-art guideway system have been used in this train, which provides it stability and safety along with high speed. Currently operating in the trial phase, this train is being considered an example of Japan’s technical capability and innovation.
Possibility of getting a new direction to the transportation network
The proposed visit of the Chief Minister is also being seen in the broader perspective of India-Japan cooperation. There is a possibility of giving a new direction to the transport network of the country including Uttar Pradesh through cooperation in the field of high speed rail, smart mobility and sustainable transport.
