Shadab Khan vented his anger on Afridi and Yusuf.
New Delhi. Pakistan’s experienced all-rounder Shadab Khan is angry at Shahid Afridi and Mohammad Yusuf. Shadab openly expressed his opinion on the criticism of Pakistan cricket team and responded to all the criticisms being leveled on his team. Especially the way the veterans are attacking him regarding his place in the team, he responded boldly. Shadab said that those who are criticizing me have their own opinion. Although he has performed well for Pakistan, his only win against arch-rivals India in the World Cup came when he was part of the playing squad, which is now being questioned after the recent defeat against India. He reminded some Pakistani stalwarts of what the critics have done in the World Cup against defending champions India.
After securing their place in the Super 8 by giving a crushing defeat to Namibia, Shadab Khan told the journalists in the press conference after the match, ‘Our former cricketers have their own opinion. He has performed well for Pakistan, and ultimately, they too have never beaten India in the World Cup. It was we who defeated India in the 2021 World Cup. We have defeated India only once in the World Cup. Yes, he is a legend, but he has never done anything special against India in the World Cup. Criticism is something we cannot control. Every person has his own opinion. He has complete freedom to express his opinion.

Mohammad Yousuf criticized Pakistan after the defeat against India
Pakistan batsman Mohammad Yousuf on Sunday strongly criticized Pakistan’s disappointing performance against India in the T20 World Cup Group A match in Colombo and raised questions on the inclusion of Shaheen Shah Afridi, Shadab Khan and Babar Azam in the Pakistani team, stressed the need for new players and talked about some of their strong performances against weaker teams.
‘The time of Shaheen, Babar and Shadab is over’
Mohammad Yusuf wrote on X on Sunday and explained in detail on Monday, ‘The time of Shaheen, Babar and Shadab is over. Pakistan’s T20 team needs new players, not hollow victories against weak teams. Unless we remove political influence and personal interests from Pakistan cricket, we cannot come back to the team it once was. This is the darkest period in our cricket history, and my heart is very saddened by it. Incompetent persons should be removed from the post and team.
‘I don’t pay much attention to criticism’
Shadab immediately forgot his performance against India and took full advantage of the opportunity against Namibia, scoring 36 runs in 22 balls and also took three wickets. He said, ‘I think after my return, I bowled a bad over, and that is why I am being criticized so much. I don’t try to justify it. I have no control over these things. It was a bad day and a bad over. This is T20 cricket. In this, runs can be scored and wickets can also be taken. I don’t pay much attention to criticism.
