The Indian women’s team has made it to the semi-finals of the Women’s Asia Cup Rising Stars 2026. In its last Group A match, India A defeated Nepal by seven wickets. India bowled out Nepal for just 78 runs on the brilliant bowling of Tanuja Kanwar. After this, India A achieved the target by losing three wickets in just 7.5 overs.

On one hand, the Indian men’s team is making a splash in the ICC T20 World Cup, while on the other hand, the women’s team has made it to the semi-finals of the Women’s Asia Cup Rising Stars 2026. In its last Group A match played at Turtthai Cricket Ground in Bangkok, Thailand, India A defeated Nepal by seven wickets. Fielding first, the Indian team, thanks to the brilliant bowling of Tanuja Kanwar (12 runs for 4 wickets), restricted Nepal to 78 runs in just 18 overs. After this, India A achieved the target by losing three wickets in just 7.5 overs.
With this win, defending champion India A has topped Group A with four points in three matches and a net run rate of +3.042. After losing to UAE in the opening match, under the captaincy of Radha Yadav, the team registered consecutive wins against Pakistan A and Nepal. The top two teams from both the groups will reach the semi-finals, so the result of the last group match between UAE and Pakistan A will not make any difference and India’s place in the knockout is confirmed. UAE is second in the group with four points from two matches and a net run rate of +0.611. Pakistan A is in third place with two points from two matches and a net run rate of -1.012. Nepal remained at the bottom of the group without any points.
