Do you know about the only railway station in India where a road passes through the platform and taxi-cabs are seen standing there.

Unknown Facts: Indian Railways is today counted among the largest rail networks in the world and constantly remains in the headlines due to its new facilities and development works.
Facilities like electrification of tracks, modernization of trains, cleanliness system and premium waiting areas have given it a distinct identity at the global level. Not only India, tourists coming from abroad are also surprised to see the arrangements of the railways.
Although there are many unique railway stations in the country, but there is one station where a road passes through the platform and taxi-cabs are seen standing there.
If we talk about unique stations of the country, there are many examples. Like Bhavani Mandi-Navapur station spread across two states, Attari railway station which requires passport, Begunkodor railway station which is considered haunted, Ib railway station with short name and Basapani railway station which is famous for its small platform. But the most special is Howrah Junction, which is located in West Bengal. Here, a road named “Cab Road” passes between platforms 8 and 9, through which vehicles can directly reach inside the station premises. Due to this arrangement, taxis and cabs can drop passengers almost near their coach.
This road is a permanent part of the station design, with vehicles entering from Foreshore Road and exiting via a designated one-way route towards the Buckland Bridge gate, allowing traffic to be managed.
About 900 to 1000 vehicles come and go on this cab road every day. Private cars have to pay an entry fee for a limited period of time, while app-based cab drivers pay a separate commercial fee for pick-up or drop.
