In Barabanki district of Uttar Pradesh, the police has caught a gang of thieves who used to sell chairs by roaming around on a motorcycle during the day and used to steal at night by recceing the places of theft. Barabanki police of UP has arrested 5 vicious thieves Irfan Ali alias Muzaffar, Wasim, Parvez, Arif and Asif from district Rampur, Bareilly and Pilibhit.
Superintendent of Police Barabanki Arpit Vijayvargiya said that all these accused have been arrested from Rasauli underpass. Let us tell you that there was theft of electrical wires at a power house at Safdarganj police station, which the police have recovered from the possession of these thieves: 16 bundles of 5 quintal aluminum electrical wire, 4 bundles of approximately 1.09 quintal copper electrical wire, 9 bundles of cable skin.
Stolen goods recovered from the accused
Police have also recovered 3.17 quintals and 4 sacks of copper wire, 1.05 quintals along with 3 wire cutters, 1 plasma, 1 welding machine, an Ertiga car and a Mahindra pickup used to transport stolen goods from the accused. Superintendent of Police Barabanki made this big disclosure in a press conference at the Police Line Auditorium on Sunday.
During police interrogation, it was revealed that this gang used to steal electrical wires, whose leader is Irfan Ali. All of them had taken a house on rent in Lucknow. These people had built a warehouse there. He told that these people used to search for the power house through Google search and later used to do recce there on the pretext of selling chairs on a motorcycle.
