What did Suryakumar say after the victory?

New Delhi. Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav, after the big win of 61 runs against Pakistan, said that batting first on this pitch was the right decision and by scoring 175 runs, he eliminated the opposition team from the match. Chasing India’s target of 176 runs, Pakistan team collapsed for 114 runs in 18 overs in front of the brilliant bowling of Hardik Pandya, Varun Chakraborty, Jasprit Bumrah and Axar Patel. India first scored 175 runs for seven wickets with Ishan’s innings of 77 runs in 40 balls and his 87-run partnership with Tilak Verma.

Suryakumar said that even 155 runs would have been a good score on this pitch, but they could have scored 15-20 runs more. After the match, Suryakumar said, ‘It was best to bat first on this pitch. While batting first, it was difficult to understand what score would be enough, but when we reached 175, it felt that we had scored 15-20 runs more. The match would have been very close at 155 runs. Praising his batsmen and bowlers, the Indian captain said that the team played the kind of cricket he wanted.

praised the batsmen
Suryakumar said, ‘We played the cricket we wanted. Ishaan also batted in the same manner as he has been doing in previous matches and domestic cricket. After the first wicket fell for one run, someone had to take responsibility and he did wonders. He said, ‘Tilak Verma, Shivam Dubey and Rinku Singh also batted brilliantly. Hardik performed well with the new ball and Bumrah showed why he is the best bowler in the world. It was nice to see everyone’s contribution.

On whom did Salman blame the defeat?
Pakistan captain Salman Ali Aga said that the team always lags behind after three-four wickets fall in the power play. Salman said, ‘We went with four spinners but their day was not good. In some parts the schemes could not be implemented properly. Did not get a good start with the bat. If three-four wickets fall in the powerplay, you are always behind in the match.

Salman admitted that the pitch was better for batting in the second innings but his players could not play as per expectations. He said, ‘Batting was a bit difficult in the first innings and the ball was also gripping. The pitch was better in the second innings but we did not bowl as per the conditions and could not play as expected with the bat also. Pakistan captain said, ‘We have a match in a few days and we are waiting for it. We have to qualify by winning it. Pakistan has to play its last match against Namibia and it is necessary to win this match to make it to the Super Eight.
