Earlier, Shoaib had played in ILT20.

Shoaib Khan’s rise from a small village in Naxal region to becoming a shining star in the T20 World Cup is the story of struggle and courage. Where there were no better facilities for education and sports, children used to cherish their dreams. Shoaib’s parents were also initially in favor of keeping him away from sports because they did not believe in a career in sports, but Shoaib did not lose courage. Gradually he made a place in the district and university level cricket teams.

Shoaib was fond of cricket since childhood, but there were no such facilities in the village. His father is a farmer by profession. He left no stone unturned in giving good education to his children. I myself have studied BA LLB and also gave good education to all the children. In those days, there was no good school in the village, so he got Shoaib admitted in Gyan Bharti School located in Gaya city. Shoaib started playing cricket from here. Here he used to practice with tennis balls.

Due to Junaid Siddiqui’s five wickets and brilliant innings by Aryansh Sharma (74 not out in 53 balls) and Shoaib Khan (51 runs in 29 balls), UAE registered its first win in the ICC T20 World Group D match by defeating Canada by five wickets.
