The match between India and Pakistan will be played on 15 February in Colombo. Regarding this match, Tilak Verma says that Team India has a plan ready to deal with them. New Delhi. Tilak Verma says that Team India is very excited for the match against Pakistan in the T20 World Cup on 15th February. After pressure from ICC and other countries, Pakistan has decided to play the match against India in Colombo. Tilak said, to tell you the truth, we are very excited about this match. We came to know only yesterday that the match will take place. We are completely ready to play. We are keeping an eye on all the teams. We are looking at the bowlers and batsmen. He said, all the players and team members are ready to play. Now we are in match mood. Now our planning will start.
India’s assistant coach Ryan ten Doeschate had said that Pakistan may have a slight advantage because they have been in Sri Lanka for some time and will play all their matches there. Tilak further said, we are focusing on one match at a time. We have video analysis and technology, so we will see how we are playing. How is the wicket, we are ready. Players of each team play different shots. We know which shots are to be played on this wicket and which bowlers are to be played and it is already planned.
Tilak said that if needed in the ongoing T20 World Cup, he can play the role of innings anchor along with Indian captain Suryakumar Yadav. After recovering from injury, Tilak Verma has made a successful comeback in the Indian team before the ICC tournament. India lost six wickets early in its first match of the tournament against America on February 7 but later made a comeback and won comfortably.
On the eve of the match against Namibia, Tilak said, ‘The head coach (Gautam Gambhir) has told us that if wickets fall quickly like in the match against America, then we should play carefully. If needed, Suryakumar Bhai and I can play the role of facilitator.
