India’s national song ‘Vande Mataram’ is once again in the news. Actually, the Central Government has issued some new guidelines. According to this, now it will be mandatory in the country to play the national anthem Vande Mataram before the national anthem – Jana Gana Mana. According to the order issued by the Home Ministry, the government has made it mandatory to play and sing the national anthem of the entire six verses on official occasions, the duration of which will be 3 minutes 10 seconds. That means it will also include those four verses which were removed by the Congress in 1937.
