
In Hardoi district of Uttar Pradesh, the fire of revenge destroyed a happy family. Here, due to an old rivalry to ‘escape his wife’, a young man was brutally murdered by cutting him with sharp weapons. The deceased youth had just returned to his village from Himachal Pradesh when the accused ambushed him and killed him. This sensational incident has created a stir in the entire area and the accused have absconded after committing the incident.
The incident took place in Balehara village of Behta Gokul police station area. Akshay Singh, 36, son of Chhotkonu Singh, who lives here, was murdered by Ankit Pinku, Ajit Singh and others from the same village. According to the information, Akshay Singh lived in Himachal Pradesh for employment and was living in a rented house in Hardoi city for the last two years. He had returned to his native village Balehara only yesterday. But little did he know that the fire of old rivalry was still burning in the village and death was waiting for him.
4 year old rivalry became the reason for murder
As soon as information about the incident was received, Superintendent of Police (SP) Ashok Kumar Meena reached the spot with heavy police force and inspected the spot. SP said that this case is of old enmity between two families and the deceased and the accused are said to be relatives. Actually, about 4 years ago, Abhay Singh, brother of deceased Akshay, had abducted the wife of the main accused Pinku. Both of them are still living together in Himachal Pradesh. Out of anger over his wife’s elopement and to take revenge for his bad reputation in the society, the accused targeted Abhay’s brother Akshay.
Police teams formed, search for accused intensified
The police have taken the body into their custody and sent it for post-mortem. SP Ashok Kumar Meena said that special police teams have been formed under the leadership of CO Harpalpur to arrest the accused. The police are continuously raiding and have claimed that soon all the murderers will be arrested and sent behind the bars. At present, the police is maintaining vigilance in view of the tension in the village.
