
ACME Solar Holdings Ltd has received a letter of award from Rewa Ultra Mega Solar Limited for a 220 MW solar project with battery energy storage system at Morena Solar Park in Madhya Pradesh. The project, awarded at a tariff of Rs 2.764 per unit, is scheduled for commercial operation by December 31, 2027.
The project forms part of a 440 MW tender floated by RUMSL under tariff-based competitive bidding guidelines, with the e-reverse auction conducted in September 2025. The 25-year power purchase agreement will be signed with Madhya Pradesh Power Management Company Limited and RUMSL.
The project requires power supply with a maximum annual capacity utilization factor of 35 per cent, along with four hours of peak supply at 95 percent annual availability. Peak supply includes two hours each during morning and evening periods. The solar plant will provide charging energy for evening peaks, while the procurer will supply morning peak energy free of cost during night hours.
RUMSL will provide land and evacuation infrastructure above 33 kV level as part of solar park facilities. The project will benefit from reduced GST rates and must comply with ALMM List-I requirements.
ACME Solar currently operates a portfolio of 8,071 MW across solar, wind, storage and hybrid solutions, with 2,966 MW operational contracted capacity and 5,105 MW under construction.
The shares of ACME Solar Holdings Ltd were trading at ₹233.4 up by ₹75.44 or 2.39 per cent on the NSE in the early trade today.
