
State Finance Minister Suresh Kumar Khanna signed the budget for the financial year 2026-27 in his office room in the Legislative Assembly on Tuesday. He said that the budget for the financial year 2026-27 has been finalized keeping in mind the expectations of the people of the state, development needs and commitment to good governance. This budget is not just a document of figures, but a reflection of the developing thinking and strong political will of the double engine government. The Finance Minister said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the trust that the state government has built over the years in the fields of law and order, investment and infrastructure, this budget further strengthens the same trust.
He said that it includes a clear roadmap for giving long-term strength to the state’s economy by giving priority to capital expenditure along with the welfare of agriculture, youth, women, laborers and deprived sections. He said that this budget is a concrete answer to those who raise questions on the development of Uttar Pradesh. Today the state is joining the leading states of the country in terms of investment, infrastructure and employment and this budget will give further impetus to that journey.
