ICC will reconsider playing India in the T20 World Cup 2026. According to the report, the PCB Chief has taken this decision after a meeting with the President of Bangladesh Cricket Board. It is believed that Mohsin Naqvi will talk to PM Shahbaz Sharif for the match with India to be held on February 15.

India-Pakistan match to be played on 15th February
New Delhi: Pakistan’s deadlock over playing matches with India in the ICC T20 World Cup 2026 may end. According to PCB source, on the advice of Bangladesh Cricket Board President Mohsin Naqvi, he will talk to PM Shahbaz Sharif to end the boycott against India. However, it has not been announced officially yet. The match between India and Pakistan in the ICC T20 World Cup 2026 is to be played on 15 February in Colombo. Pakistan had announced boycott of the match against India in support of Bangladesh. Pakistan and India are in Group A of the T20 World Cup.
Let us tell you that a meeting was held with PCB and ICC officials in Lahore on Monday regarding the match with India. In this meeting, three conditions were put forward by the PCB for playing the match, which were completely rejected by the ICC. PCB’s condition was that Bangladesh should not be fined and it should get a share in the revenue of the T20 World Cup. Apart from this, Pakistan Cricket Board also demanded a bilateral series with India. Also, PCB said that India will have to play a triangular series with Bangladesh-Pakistan, but ICC rejected all these demands saying that it is not within their jurisdiction.
Bangladesh team is not playing in T20 World Cup
Let us tell you that Bangladesh team is not playing in the ICC T20 World Cup 2026. The Bangladesh team was included in Group C of the tournament and was to play its group matches in India, but it expressed its concern about security and refused to play in India. A meeting of BCB and ICC was also held regarding this, but the matter could not be resolved.
Bangladesh had demanded that the match be shifted to Sri Lanka, but the ICC rejected this demand. In such a situation, Scotland was again included in the tournament. Pakistan also supported Bangladesh’s decision and has raised the demand that Bangladesh should get a share in the revenue of the T20 World Cup without taking part in the tournament.
