A story is going viral on social media which is giving goosebumps. A user shared his near-death experience (NDE) on Reddit, in which he described the world after death and described the return as ‘like hell’.
This post is being discussed on subreddits like r/NDE or r/AskReddit, where people are debating what happens after death. The person wrote that when he was nearing death, he got separated from his body, saw everything while floating above, felt peace, but while returning, it felt as if he was being pressed into the body after passing through fire. Its details shocked people.
What happens after death?
The man told in detail: “For me, coming back was like going through fire. I had become so big, then suddenly I was pressed into a smaller body. It felt as if I was burning from inside.” He also said that the burning sensation was like the bite of fire ants – there were needle-like pricks all over the body. Perhaps this was the effect of adrenaline shot or medicines, which the doctors had given to keep the heart running. But the experience was so intense that it felt as if one had to cross the path to hell while returning from the world after death.
the return was painful
The man’s story did not end here. He wrote: “I thought I was back from the afterlife, in my body. But then an angel and rain came, pulling me back as I was trying to disassociate again.” It was a repeated cycle – coming back, separating, then being pulled back again. This painful experience continued for several hours or days, where the body was on fire. In the post he asked whether this has happened to others too?
What is NDE?
A near-death experience occurs when a person comes close to clinically dying – such as a heart attack, accident, coma. Many survivors say that they go out of their body, see a tunnel of light, meet dead relatives, and feel immense peace. Some consider this to be proof of the soul, that there is life after death. On the other hand, scientists say that this is a miracle of the brain. Illusions are created by lack of oxygen, firing of endorphins or dying brain cells. The return part is special in this case. In most NDEs the return is peaceful, but here a ‘fiery re-entry’ was described.
