New Delhi. Suryakumar Yadav told reporters at the T20 World Cup 2026 Captain’s Day press conference on Thursday, we have not refused to play against Pakistan, rather they have refused. I think the mentality is quite clear. We have not refused to play the match. It has come from the other side. ICC has released the official schedule. BCCI and the government in collaboration with ICC have decided on a neutral venue. Our flight is booked for Colombo. So we are definitely going. It has been discussed in the team that we will first play on 7th February and then go there. It is noteworthy that Pakistan’s stance of not playing with India has come after ICC’s decision to include Scotland in place of Bangladesh for the T20 World Cup. Bangladesh were dropped after refusing to play in India citing security concerns. Pakistan’s Prime Minister on Wednesday again said that its senior men’s cricket team will not play against India in the upcoming Men’s T20 World Cup, which will be co-hosted by Sri Lanka and India.
