He said, ‘When I get injured, the one thing that always keeps me close to the game is the love for the game and the support of the people around me.’ Pant also stressed the need for continuous improvement as a professional cricketer. He said, ‘As a cricketer, you always have to keep adding something to your game. I have to keep trying to improve in every aspect of my game.
Pant has made comebacks several times in his career and talking about it, he said that being away from the field has helped him develop a different outlook towards both cricket and life. However, he admitted that being away from top-level competition was the hardest part.
He said, ‘Every comeback has taught me something about life. It’s taught me more gratitude, how you see things around you, and committing to doing something that truly makes you happy. The thing I miss the most when I get injured is that I am not able to enjoy the game. You love sports very much, but you enjoy it most while playing at the top level. I miss it. Pant is out of the Indian team since January 10. He suffered the injury (side strain) during a practice session in Vadodara.
