What did the team find in the raid?
It was informed that as part of this action, 19 laptops, 01 desktop computer, 53 mobile phones and 12 ATM cards were seized. Along with this, other electronic devices and documents used in cyber fraud have also been recovered.
Preliminary investigation has revealed that personal data of common citizens was illegally obtained by cyber thugs from various cyber cafes. After this, cyber fraud was done by misleading them by calling them in the name of other government/non-government services like Aadhar Card Centre. It is believed that by now these thugs might have trapped many people in their trap.
