The crowd became uncontrollable at the rally of Tamilga Vatri Kazhagam (TVK) head and actor Vijay in Karur, Tamil Nadu. Many TV workers fainted due to the huge crowd. The workers were taken by ambulance to the hospital. It is being told that 10 people, including two children, are feared dead in the rally. There has been chaos in Karur’s hospitals. CM MK Stalin said that Vijay’s rally reported a stampede -like situation and many people being hospitalized. The information received from the Karur administration is worrisome. Health Minister Ma Subramaniam and the District Collector have been asked to provide all possible help. Minister Ambil Mahesh has also been instructed to provide help.
CM Stalin said that he has instructed the top police officers to take appropriate steps to restore normal conditions in Karur. CM Stalin appealed to the general public to cooperate with doctors and police in Karur.
