This special session of Darsal Assembly has been called for flood relief work in the state. The AAP took an aggressive stand against the central government from the beginning of the proceedings of the House. The party MLAs alleged that the central government has not given enough flood relief amount to Punjab.
Punjab Irrigation Minister Barinder Goyal presented a proposal in the Assembly in which the Central Government has been criticized that the Chief Minister Bhagwant Maan Prime Minister many times Narendra Modi Asked for time to meet but the Prime Minister’s office did not give him time. The Chief Minister wanted to meet the Prime Minister and keep the correct picture of the floods in the state.

‘Flood aid for Punjab proved to be just jumla’
The legislators alleged that the 1600 crore flood assistance amount has not been announced by the central government as well and this has proved to be just a jumla. The AAP alleges that the central government is ignoring Punjab and depriving the state of its rights by not giving proper relief funds. In view of the protest, the Speaker had to stop the proceedings of the House for 20 minutes.
