Former Prime Minister of Nepal Pushpakamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ was no longer the President of CPN (Maoist Center). A party leader gave this information on Friday. He said that the Maoist Party has dissolved its central committee.
The move has been taken at a time when the youth-led Jane-G group held violent demonstrations against the government against the government and the government of former Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli collapsed.

The statement released after the Central Committee meeting said, “The party will be purified and restructured, respecting the spirit of the Jane-G movement.” Sunil Manandhar, a member of the party’s fracture central committee, said, “During the meeting, Prachanda announced that he is no longer the president of the party.”
There were 700 members in the Central Committee
The Central Committee headed by Prachanda had 700 members. Now the party has formed a conference committee under the chairmanship of Prachanda, which will call special general conference in mid -December. The party has also decided that the unity process will be started with the Maoist groups and other parties with equal ideology.
Party welcomed the decision to hold general elections
The CPN-Maoist Center welcomed the interim government’s decision to hold general elections on March 5 and decided to play a constructive role in making the election a success. Along with this, it was also decided to set up a strong committee to investigate the property of party leaders. Preventing corruption was one of the main demands of the Gen-G movement.
Jane-G will try to represent youth
According to the statement, the party also said that attempts will be made to represent Gen-G youth at all levels of the organization. Significantly, after the Gen-G movement held on 8-9 September, an interim government was formed under the leadership of 73-year-old Sushila Karki, which ended the ongoing political uncertainty in Nepal.
