Shreyas Iyer: Shreyas Iyer suddenly left the red ball format and put his side in front, but now the first response has come from the BCCI.

New Delhi: Middle order batsman Shreyas Iyer suddenly surprised everyone by announcing a break from red ball cricket. Now the BCCI has given its first reaction in the whole matter. Shreyas Iyer has also requested not to select himself in the upcoming domestic Test series against the West Indies. Shreyas withdrew the name from the second four -day informal Test of the ongoing Bharat A against Australia A in Lucknow and has now come to know that he has taken a temporary break from the cricket of the red ball. He was made the captain of India A and in his absence, Dhruv Juril took over the post.
In fact, Shreyas has written a letter to Agarkar formally. Due to this, Shreyas, who brought Punjab Kings to the final of IPL 2025, has become doubtful to play in the Ranji Trophy session starting on October 15.
Shreyas will now go to the BCCI Center of Excellence in Bangalore for further investigation and recovering process of his back. Significantly, Shreyas has been struggling with back problems even in the past.
