Four people died and many injured in Leh
According to news agency PTI, four people have died in the violence on Badhuwar in Leh. About 30 people were injured in this violent demonstration.

Ladakh Festival also canceled
In view of the seriousness of the situation, the administration canceled the last day of the four -day Ladakh festival. The Information and Public Relations Department issued a statement saying that the closing ceremony had to be canceled due to the situation. We apologize to local artists, cultural groups, tourists and general public.

The gathering of five or more persons in Leh has been banned. After the protests of the local people seeking state status, no procession, rally or march will be taken out in Leh as per the order of the District Magistrate.

Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and NC MLA Tanveer Sadiq criticized the government’s failures in Ladakh and Jammu and Kashmir, saying it is unfortunate that the demand for the entire state was not restored, just because the BJP could not win the election. This is unfair to the public.
