
In the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), Indonesia President Prabovo Subyanto appealed to the world for peace, justice and equal opportunity. At the end of his 19 -minute address, he gave the message of harmony and solidarity to the whole world by chanting the Sanskrit mantra ‘Om Shanti, Shanti, Shanti Om’.
Indonesia’s big announcement for peace in Gaza-Phalestine
During his speech, President Subianto expressed deep concern over the ongoing violence and human crisis in Gaza and Palestine. He announced that Indonesia is set to play a big role in peace installation. He said- ‘Indonesia is ready to send 20000 or more soldiers to establish peace in Gaza and Palestine.’ Subiyanto also said that today Indonesia is a major contributor country of the United Nations Peace Army in the world and it will continue to work to establish peace through the deployment of active soldiers.
Emphasis on two-nation solution
The President resolved the Israel-Palestine dispute in two-nation resolutions. He said that both Palestine and Israel should remain in existence as independent, safe and free from terrorism and threats. He warned that if the destruction on the innocents in Gaza is not stopped, the world would enter a very dangerous phase of ‘endless war and rising violence’. Subiyanto said, “Violence cannot be a solution to any political struggle, because violence only gives rise to more violence.” He appealed to the two communities for reconciliation, saying that Arab, Jews, Muslims and Christians, all would have to live together with peace and goodwill.
Global Message- Call for harmony and unity
President Subianto warned in his speech that ‘the stupidity of man, which is inspired by fear, racism, hatred, harassment and apartheid, is putting our shared future in danger.’ He insisted that it is the responsibility of the whole world to take a decisive step and save the innocent. In the end, he honored all the religions and cultures of the world and gave multi -religious greetings. This speech by President Prabovo Subyanto is seen as a strong peace message in the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly, especially at a time when many parts of the world are struggling with violence and conflict.
