Bengaluru: Indian players KL Rahul, famous Krishna and Karun Nair are included in the list of 37 potential players announced for Karnataka’s upcoming Ranji Trophy season. Rahul is playing an informal four -day match for India ‘A’ against Australia ‘A’ in Lucknow.

In the Ranji session starting from October 15, Karnataka team is in Elite Group B and the team will start their campaign against Saurashtra in Rajkot. The group also includes Goa, last year’s runners -up Kerala, Maharashtra, Chandigarh, Madhya Pradesh and Punjab.

Former player Yere Gaur will remain the coach of the team. He will join the state team after the Indian Under-19 team tour.

In this list, the player R. R. R. R.K. Remember and Mumbai Indians wicketkeeper-batsman KL Srijit is also included.

Former Karnataka spinner Anand Katti has been appointed as the chairman of the senior selection committee of the state. Along with him, former players C Raghu, Amit Verma and Tejpal Kothari will also be members of the committee.

Udit Patel, son of former Indian cricketer and secretary of KSCA Brijesh, has got a place in the selection committee of under-19, 16 and 14 teams.
