
A major road accident occurred in Tonk district on Tuesday morning. On the Tonk-Sawaimadhopur Highway-116, the high speed roadways bus filled with passengers was uncontrolled and overturned into a deep ditch. Around 38 passengers were injured in the accident, including two children. It is a matter of honor that no one died in this accident.
The bus was from Sawaimadhopur depot and was going to Jaipur. The accident took place near Taran village in Sadar police station area. As soon as the accident was reported, the villagers reached the spot in large numbers. At the same time, Sadar Thanadikari Jaimal Singh reached the spot along with Maymal Singh Japte and with the help of the local people, took out the injured and sent it to Saadat Hospital. Doctors and nursing staff at the hospital started treating the injured rapidly. Treatment of all the injured is going on and so far no one has died.
Statements of bus driver and passengers
Bus driver Ghanshyam said that while going from Sawaimadhopur to Jaipur, the bus tire suddenly burst near Taran village. Due to this, the bus went uncontrolled and overturned in a deep ditch below the highway. Bus operator Girraj Prasad Meena said that there were about 45 passengers in the bus. Everything was going on normal, but a sudden accident happened. Thank God that everyone’s life was saved. Passengers Vanshika Sharma and Dharmaraj also said that the bus overturned due to sudden tire burst. The accident was so fast that no one got a chance to recover.

Presence of administration and leaders
Kotwali Thanadikari Bhanwarlal Vaishnav said that all the injured have been rushed to Saadat Hospital and no passenger has died. Former Tonk MLA Ajit Singh Mehta and BJP District President Chandraveer Singh Chauhan also reached the hospital as soon as the accident was received. Both met the injured and came to know about their well being and said that it is God’s grace that there was no loss of life even after such a big accident.
Hospital administration alert
Saadat Hospital in -charge Navindra Pathak said that the accident was reported at around 8.30 am. The hospital staff was then alerted and all the injured were given immediate treatment. So far, the condition of all the injured is stable.
