Defense Minister Rajnath Singh on Monday expressed confidence that India would get back Pakistan -occupied Kashmir (POK) without any aggressive step. He said that now the people there are demanding independence from the current rule themselves. Rajnath Singh was addressing the Indian community in Morocco.
In his address, the Defense Minister said, PoK will automatically become ours. You must have heard that there are sounds arising there now, slogans are being raised. The Defense Minister said that he had said a similar thing five years ago when he was addressing a program of the Indian Army in Jammu and Kashmir. He said, I was speaking at an army program in the Kashmir Valley five years ago. Even then I had said that we would not have to attack and capture PoK. That is already ours. PoK himself will say- I am also India. That day will definitely come.
Rajnath Singh’s statement has come at a time when many people are accusing the government that it has missed the opportunity to capture PoK during Operation Sindoor. The military operation began on May 7, killing India several Pakistani fighter jets. In addition, several military bases were destroyed in Pakistan and Pakistan -occupied Kashmir. Not only this, many airbase of Pakistani were also demolished. After this, many opposition leaders criticized the government as to why the struggle was accepted when India gained an edge in the struggle.
Defense Minister Rajnath Singh is on a two -day tour of Morocco these days, where he will launch the new construction unit of Tata Advanced Systems. The unit will have an eight -wheeled armored military vehicle. It will be India’s first defense building unit in Africa. This is the first time an Indian Defense Minister has visited Morocco. He described this opportunity as an important stage of the increasing international impact of India’s defense manufacturing capacity.
‘If India says something, the world listens carefully’
Addressing the people of the Indian community, he said, our dedication, affection and love for India is natural. We should not live anywhere in the world, we should not forget that we are Indians. Being an Indian, our responsibilities are also different from others. If we are earning our livelihood in Morocco, we are raising our family, then there should be no dishonesty with Morocco, this is the nature of India. He said, I am happy to see that you are able to feel the increasing reputation of all the burden internationally. Earlier, when India used to say something on international forums, it was not taken seriously. But today India says something, so the whole world pays attention and listens. It was not so earlier. Despite all the global and geopolitical challenges, India is one of the fastest growing economies in the world today.

‘India is becoming a global center of startups and innovation’
Rajnath Singh said, India is becoming a global center of startups and innovations. There were only 500 startups in 2014 and today the number has increased to 1.60 lakhs. In 2014, where there were only 18 unicorn, their number has increased to 118 today.
What did the Defense Minister say on Operation Sindoor?
The Defense Minister also referred to Operation Sindoor run against terrorist bases in Pakistan and PoK. He said, what part-2 or Part-3 will be, it is difficult to say. It depends on Pakistan’s behavior. If he indulges in terrorist activities, he will get an answer. Our 26 people were killed in Pahalgam. Earlier, he was asked his religion. On April 23, I asked the Chief of Defense Staff (CDS), the first question in the meeting with the heads of the three armies and the Defense Secretary that if the government takes such a decision, is they ready for this operation. Not on the border, we destroyed the terror hideouts of its hundred kilometers within. A top terrorist of Jaish-e-Mohammed said that Masood Azhar’s family was shattered in India’s attack. Pakistan then demanded a ceasefire and we agreed.
‘Terrorists killed people by asking religion, we killed after seeing karma’
He further said, we want good relations, because (late former Prime Minister) Atal Bihari Vajpayee used to say that friends can change but not neighbors. We are trying to bring them on the right path. The Prime Minister has also said that this is a break. Operation Sindoor has been stopped only. It can be resumed. He further said, the terrorists came here and killed our citizens by asking their religion. But we have not seen anyone’s religion, seeing their karma.
