Now there will be one municipal corporations in Jaipur and Kota city.

Earlier, where Greater Municipal Corporation and Heritage Municipal Corporation Ashok Gehlot were formed in Jaipur city. Both the municipal corporation had the first 250 wards. According to the new format, there will be 150 wards in the entire city. In terms of population, the smallest ward of the city will be number 31 while the number 135 ward will be the largest ward.

The state government issued a notification 6 months ago to unite Jaipur Municipal Corporation Heritage and Greater. After this, the government worked on its delimitation and sought objections from the common people to determine the area of ​​the wards. After disposing of the objections, the delimitation proposal has been approved and sent for gazette notification.

Reserve wards will be determined soon

After the gazette notification, now reservation of wards (for SC ST class) will be determined by the District Election Branch. This determination will be done on the basis of the population present in the ward, in which the population of these reserved category will be more. They will be placed in the reserved category. After this, the process of lottery for OBC class and women’s ward reservation will be adopted by the Department of Autonomous Government and District Election Branch.

Terror will be completed in the month of November

The state government is preparing a plan to hold all the bodies and panchayats of the state under the One State One Election. Elections can be held in the beginning of the year 2026.
