CM in Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath Has decided to set up clothes and dress parks in the name of Sant Kabir in different districts of the state. On Tuesday, CM Yogi held a high -level meeting in Lucknow in this regard, in which Santakbirnagar Textile and Apparel Park scheme was reviewed.

In this meeting, the Chief Minister has decided to set up clothes and dress parks in view of the increasing interest of private investors in the handloom and textile industry of the state. He said that Uttar Pradesh is a state with a rich heritage of textile growers. The state has the ability to achieve a strong position in the global textile market using this rich heritage.

Decision to build clothes and dress parks in UP

CM Yogi said in this meeting that in the present time the global market of clothes and dress is expected to reach US $ 2.3 trillion by the year 2030. He said that inspired by the ideals of Saint Kabir’s labor, simplicity and self -reliance, this scheme will create new opportunities for investment, production and employment, which will balance between tradition and modernity.

According to data, UP is one of India’s top textile and apparel exporters. In the year 2023-24, the state exported goods worth US $ 3.5 billion. Which is 9.6 percent of the country’s total textile exports. Two state GDP contributes 1.5 percent.

About 22 lakh people in the state are directly associated with this employment. Traditional clusters like Varanasi, Mau, Bhadohi, Mirzapur, Sitapur, Barabanki, Gorakhpur and Meerut have an important role. So far 659 proposals have been received on the investment charioteer portal. For which 1642 acres of land is required.

Employment will be created in the state

For this, an investment of about Rs 15,431 crore will be required in the state, due to which 1,01,768 employment opportunities will be created. Each park will be developed on minimum 50 acres of land and it will be mandatory for processing industries to set up a Common Fluent Treatment Plant.

Also, arrangements will be made for the development of supporting units like button, zipper, label, packaging and warehouse. In which the government will ensure priority infrastructure like road, electricity and water supply. CM Yogi expressed confidence that Sant Kabir Clothing and Apparel Park Scheme will not only bring investment and employment on a large scale.
