The horrific road accident on Indore’s Airport Road on Monday (15 September) late on Monday (15 September) shocked the entire city. Three people, including a girl, died in the accident, while many people were seriously injured. Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, taking a tough stance on the incident, suspended several officers and policemen present on the spot.

Chief Minister Mohan Yadav clarified that the victims of the accident will not be allowed to face any kind of financial trouble. He announced that a assistance of Rs 4-4 lakh will be given to the family of the deceased. At the same time, the seriously injured people will get help of one lakh rupees and the government will bear the entire cost of their treatment.

Chief Minister Deputy Commissioner of Police, Traffic Arvind Tiwari has been removed from the post. At the same time, ACP Suresh Singh, ASI Prem Singh, Subedar Chandresh Marawi and Inspector Deepak Yadav were suspended. Also, four constables on duty were also sentenced to suspension.

The Chief Minister also praised the people who showed humanity amid the accident. He said that constable Pankaj Yadav and auto driver Anil Kothari did a great job on the spot. The government will honor and reward him for his bravery and helpful attitude.
The terrible scene of the accident
The accident was so terrible that the truck driver hit about 7 vehicles. Many vehicles were badly damaged. Soon after the incident, there was a scream and the locals gathered on the spot. Angry people set the truck on fire, although the fire brigade reached immediately and controlled the fire.
According to eyewitnesses, the truck was at such a high speed that the vehicles coming up did not get a chance to recover. After the accident, there was an atmosphere of chaos on the road and jammed.
Investigation continues at present
The police have taken the truck driver into custody and the investigation of the case is going on. Negligence or other reasons are being investigated behind the accident. On the instructions of the CM, the administration has assured to help the victim families in every way possible.
