You Unicorn is beautiful in appearance, especially from the front. We believe that this is the best looking U smartphone ever. Aluminum finish gives it a look of strengthening. The curved edges give it a good grip. The metal back of U Unicorn slightly slightly slipping in the hands. We also said the same about other metal phones like HTC One (M8). This phone with 172 grams feels a little weighty, especially when it is compared to other smartphones of this price range.

U has made the biggest change in its unicorn flagship smartphone using Stock Android instead of Cyanogen OS. The phone comes with Android 5.1.1 Lollipop in which some customizations of U are provided. At the launch event, the company said that the unicorn runs on “Android on Sterreods” which means, the integration of the Around You in Launcher. The handset’s customized interface comes with vertical app drawer.
U Unicorn has a 13-megapixel rear camera with dual-LED flash. It also has a 5 megapixel front camera. The rear camera comes with phase detection autofocus, electronic image stabilization and slow motion video recording feature. In unnatural light, we found the pictures taken from U Unicorn camera quite crisp. There was no shortage of details in them. Fine pictures came from the front camera. U Unicorn has a 4000 mAh battery. It has been claimed to give talk time of up to 20 hours and standby time up to 500 hours. The phone supports 4G LTE. On using U Unicorn, we found that this smartphone gave good response on touch input. There was no problem during multitasking. It has 4G RAM with an octa-core MediaTek Helio P10 processor. U Unicorn will fight in the market at the launch of Rs 12,999 with Xiaomi Redmi Note 3, Moto G4 Plus, Lenovo Fab and Zenfone Max (2016). Like other usual handsets, Unicorn will be sold exclusively through a flash cell on Flipkart. The company said that after a month, U Unicorn will be priced at Rs 13,499.
