It seems that OnePlus has heard the user’s mind. The company now finally has its Invite system ends Has announced to do and introduced a new flagship smartphone in its affordable phone series. OnePlus 3 It has been launched for Rs 27,999 and this smartphone is giving a new challenge with this price in the category of flagship phones. However, this smartphone has another successful smartphone Xiaomi Mi 5 ,Review) There will be a tough competition from. Will OnePlus 3 be able to become a successful phone? Learn the shortcomings and features of this phone in our review.
Look and design
In OnePlus 3, the company has made a huge change that has completely changed the design of the phone. The rear panel that comes with stand -up finishing has been abolished. It has been replaced by cold, hard aluminum. Apart from this, this phone is made of unibody with dull metallic finish so that this phone HTC One M9 reminds me of. OnePlus 3 is a beautiful, good -textured phone and finally it brings onePlus in the league of the company that offers the best design.
The phone front is also quite stylish. Corning Gorilla Glass 4 has been given with curves on the screen’s edge, which prevents some type of scratch and damage. Apart from this, the front has a capacitive home button with fingerprint censor inbuilt. There are two more capacitive buttons on either side of the home button. Usually these buttons are invisible but when touching the button, the backlight is activated. With the help of the software given in the phone, these buttons can also be deactivated and you can switch to your Suvidhanusa on-screen button. Our review unit already had a screen protector film installed but it does not cover the front completely and scratches easily. So we will like the phone without screen protector.
There has been a significant change in the fingerprint sensor given in OnePlus 3 compared to OnePlus 2. It easily unlocks the phone and the pone is unlocked even after activating the divaite made even when it is in standby mode. The fingerprint sensor of OnePlus 3 is quite faster than many other devices, Mi5 also has to press on the first physical home button to unlock the phone. OnePlus 3 can be stored up to five fingerprints and the sensor can also be used to overthrime and access the control of certain apps.
The edges of the phone are quite well designed. The well-known alert slider and volume button of OnePlus are given on the left side. The right side has a power button and dual sim tray. The bottom are speakers, USB Type-C port and 3.5mm shock. Although the phone is 7.35 mm thin, due to the curved rear, the phone looks very thin on the edges. Along with this, OnePlus 3 is also convenient in catching. It is worth noting that the primary camera is quite outward and if you use the phone without a protective case then it can be damaged. The user gets five plastic case options that you can buy with different looks and finish with the phone. Carbon, Betu, Apprix, Rosewood and Sandstone are five plastic case options. The texture on the case is very beautiful and the phone looks quite beautiful without a case.
OnePlus 3 has a 5.5 -inch screen of 1080×1920 pixels resolution, just like the previous phone and has a Dansity 401 PPI. However, OnePlus has used the AMOLED screen this time. OnePlus X was also given an AMOLED screen. There is a polarizing layer to make the phone readable in sunlight. Although it is not as crisp as crisp, 1440×2560 pixels coming in many flagship smartphones these days, but it is quite sharp and it gives a great picture quality.

Charging and connectivity in the phone is through USB 2.0 Type-C port and computer and charger can be connected to the cable coming with the phone.
The special thing is that OnePlus will also sell the dash charger especially for the car which can be installed in a standard 12 watt car shock. We connected this charger with the phone, although the charging from it was not as fast as a wall-shock charger, but if you travel most of the time, it can be a work accessory for you.
Software
Talk about the software of OnePlus 3, OnePlus 3 runs on OxygenoS 3.1.1 based on Android 6.0.1. The oxygen also acts like a stock Android Marshmallow. It also has some useful new features. OxygenoS provides a variety of customized options in the phone, while the marshmallow features are also maintained in the phone. These include the new colorful app permission system, now on tap, and dose mode. The bootloader can be unlocked quickly from oxygenoS.
One of the most important features of OnePlus 3 is the shelf, which can be accessed by swiping the right side on the home screen. With this, you can access information about the weather, mostly used apps, visits, and contacts. Other options like adaptive brightness, color temperature settings, ambient display mode can be accessed by going to the setting menu. Ambient display can give you basic information without using a display proximity sensor. Apart from this, you can also opt for Default Keyboard using Swiftki.
Apart from this, some other customization options also have a ‘dark mode’ to activate the phone from which the color of the menu can be converted into a dark shade, LED notification light color can be custom for different functions.
Camera
The primary camera of OnePlus 3 is 16 megapixels with Sony IMX 298 sensor while there is an 8 -megapixel front camera with 1.4 micron pixels. The rear camera can live 4K video records and the slow motion video can be recorded at 120 frames per second. While slow motion video from the front camera can be recorded at 30 frames per second with 1080 pixels. Apart from this, the rear camera also has optical image stabilization, Faze Detection Autofocus and RAW Imez format support.
The camera app is Google’s stock app that you see in the Nexus device. This app is designed in a normal way and mostly surrounds screen space for viewfinder. This is why there is a single shutter button to take photos and video recording is a two-step process. Modes like time laps, slow motion, video, manual and panorama can be accessed from a small tole in the left corner.
When taking photos, you can also togle the self -timer. Apart from this, there are also control options for flash, HD shooting, HDR mode and camera switcher. It is very easy to use the camera app but we have seen it better apps with more control in another device.
While shooting in outdoor in good light, sharp photos are found with detailing from the phone, but the pictures seem scattered a bit. The color comes to the vibrant and the pictures also look bright and good. Sometimes autofocus sounds very slow, but once a subject or scene is locked, pictures are good. Both optical and electronic image stabilization help in capturing good quality photos and videos. But in low light, pictures taken from the camera oversight and disintegrate.
A great video can also be made with detailing on full-HD resolution from the phone. And for better sharpness, you always have the option of 4K video recording. Slow motion and time laps mode gives good results. A lot of sharp photos have been taken from the front camera and there are much better pictures than other typical smartphones. Overall, the camera of OnePlus 3 gives far better results than a simple smartphone shooting.
Performance
So far, OnePlus 3 proves to be a powerhouse in smartphones reviewed by Snapdragon 820 processor. Everything works very well from playing games to loading web pages, opening the app to taking pictures. The performance of the phone with 6 GB RAM is great. There is no problem in the phone about the heat and some way in any way and the phone works well while doing heavy work.
Talk about benchmark data, OnePlus 3 has broken some records with its tremendous performance. OnePlus 3 is the best phone in the most powerful Android smartphone we used so far.
The phone worked well on the cellular network. The phone always works better on 4G and Wi-Fi connectivity. OnePlus 3 gives a better type of call quality and the device’s dual microphone setup also keeps a voice transmission. Phone battery in our video loop test 16 hours. Lasted for 45 minutes. Even while doing 4G networks and severe work, this phone goes easily without charging for a day.
Our decision
After the last three smartphones, OnePlus has finally managed to make OnePlus 3 a tremendous phone. Good work has been done in every department in the phone and OnePlus has finished all kinds of problems seen in the previous device in this phone. The phone has required features such as NFCs, accurate fingprin sensors, magnificent amoled screens and fast charging, so that this phone meets expectations everywhere.
However, OnePlus 3 is not completely perfect. Although 64 GB of internal storage is sufficient, some people may find a problem with the absence of expandable storage in the phone. The single speaker is a bit weak and in Fon we got to see some file format recognition issue so that we could not play some videos and audio files. The pictures taken in low light than the phone did not remain as expected. But except for all these small flaws, OnePlus 3 is a great smartphone. This phone, which comes with these features and capacity for Rs 27,999, can prove to be a ‘flagship killer’.
