Review of Gionee S6 Pro

Gionee has introduced its new smartphone S6 Pro in India. The company has its own Gionee The S6 handset was introduced in India in the month of February. Since then, she has been presenting different variants of this phone. We recently Review to S6S Was done which is a selfie -centered version of S6. The new S6 Pro smartphone is also made for selfie fans, but its specifications are more powerful.

Gionee S6 And Gionee S6S Are very average products. Just their battery life and build quality are good. Their prices were slightly higher than Rs 15,000. In such a situation, we were not having too much expectations. However, the price of S6 Pro is Rs 23,999. In this way Gionee 6S Pro Direct clash Xiaomi Mi 5 ,Review, Moto Z Play ,Review, HTC One A9 And Asus Zenfone 3 (ZEE 520 kL) Is from Is it a matter of justifying your price in S6 Pro? Let’s know.

Gionee S6 Pro Design and Texture
The design profile of the new model is largely similar to the Gionee S6, except for a radical change. The design of the edges is going to woo the eyes. According to Gionee, the chassis of S6 Pro is of metal, due to which it is strong and strong. The phone is slim and does not look very weighty. Fit and finishing is good on most occasions, except for the home button, which has a little stride.

The display has the appropriate light to use in the outside. Resolution for sharp photos and text is also fine. It has a 5.5-inch full-HD IPS panel on which protection of Gorilla Glass 3 has been given. Two capacitive buttons are given but there is no backlighting. You will also get a notification LED with front camera in the top of the phone. Hybrid dual-sim tray is present on the left while power and volume buttons are on the right side. The headphone socket is at the top and the USB Type-C port at the bottom. This phone has a mono speaker.

There is a 13 -megapixel camera on the backpanel and there is a single LED flash. The fingerprint sensor is integrated into the home button. Instead of writing the IMEI number on a metal frame, Gionee has used a simple sticker that pierces the eyes.

The S6 Pro 10 watt wall adapter, USB cable, headset, screen guard and silicone case. The quality of accessory is good and it looks durable. The texture is good and due to slim profiles, it will not be difficult to use it with one hand. The phone also slips with hands occasionally, but we will not call it bad.

Gionee S6 Pro Specification and Feature
The phone uses an octa-core MediaTek Helio P10 chipset, which is more powerful than the commonly used MT6753 chipset. You will get 64 GB of storage with 4 GB RAM. Will be able to increase storage through microSD cards up to 128 GB.

Other specifications of Gionee S6 Pro will be found Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi B/G/N, GPS, FM Radio and USB OTG. Given the pro version, we were expected to be given Wi-Fi 802.11 AC and NFC. But this is not available. This phone supports Voice over LTE with 4G LTE.

Like S6S, S6 Pro will run on Gionee’s Amigo 3.2 user interface based on Android Marshmallow. This is not our favorite version. It is a UI with a layer.

You will get the edge bar in the Settings app. This app is a vertical list for shortcuts, which can be reached by swiping the left or right on the home button. You can add 6 shortcuts here. Through the splt screen feature, you will also be able to answer the incoming message while watching the video. For this, you will not even have to close the video player.

Being Amigo UI, you will get many apps in advance. You will also be able to remove the third party. But it will not be possible to do this with Gionee’s app.

The phone has its VR Launcher App of Gionee, which mostly works with Google Cardboard VR headset. We tried to use it with OnePlus Loop VR headset. It went on without any trouble.

Gionee S6 Pro Performance
Common performance is good despite heavy skin. While switching between the apps and running the system animation, we never realized it to slow down. While using the camera, the side of the phone gets a bit hot. Sometimes the entire body of the phone also gets hot. But this problem did not happen again and again. The performance of the GPU was a bit weak. The fingerprint sensor works properly to unlock the device.

The S6 Pro works well in the media playback. More bitrate videos went well. Audio quality is also very good. However, the speaker is a bit weak and the sound on the high volume does not come too much. Stock audio and video player separates your media files well. You will also get DTS audio boost.

Not having a PDAF or laser autofocus in a 13 -megapixel primary camera means that it is a little difficult to take photos and blossless photos. The time used to focus could have been slightly less. It focuses even more slow in low light. The lack of details and color in the landscape shot is clearly visible, we also suffered this problem in daylight. These pictures do not look bad when viewed on the phone’s display, but the decrease on the big screen is clearly revealed. We clearly reflect the lack of details in the macro shot. The pictures taken in low light are worse than average. There is a lot of lack of details and there is a lot of noise.

Gionee has made big claims about the screen flash feature in the handset for selfie. But the reality is that leave the group selfie, it is not fully capable of giving light on your face. The 8 megapixel front camera is not very special. The good thing is that the camera interface is easy to use. With this you get many options. You have Pro, Slow Motion and Panorama shooting mode. Video recording capacity is 1080 pixels. Its quality is average. We think the camera could have been better.

The 3130 mAh battery video loop test lasted for 10 hours 13 minutes which will be called good. In common use, we were able to run the phone for more than a day without charging. You will not get fast charging, but the charger with the phone fully charge the battery in about two hours.

Our decision
Mid-range segment expensive smartphones are generally good all-round handsets. If these devices are not made by taking care of the budget, then the company is trying to give excellent performance in one or two departments. And customers are also happy with satisfactory performance in the rest of the department. Gionee’s old S6 models have been excellent in battery life and build quality but in the rest of the department, nothing was worth remembering them. Sadly, nothing has changed in S6 Pro.

Apart from build quality, battery life and display, there is nothing in this phone, due to which you choose it in exchange for this price of Lenovo, Xiaomi, Asus or HTC. The cameras are weak links. A selfie camera with primary gives average performance in every type of light. The phone gets slightly hot while using the camera. Gionee has not offered features like Wi-Fi 802.11 AC, NFC, backlit capacitive button and fast charging. We cannot suggest you to buy this phone.
