According to the DPIIT rankings, Gujarat became the best performance for the second year in the second consecutive year in providing better ecosystem.
Gujarat is the best between all states and union territory Delhi
New Delhi. The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) on Friday released the ranking of states providing better ecosystem to startups. In this ranking, Gujarat has once again emerged as the best performing state. Gujarat (Gujarat) has been the best performance from all the states and a union territory of Delhi. Apart from Assam, all other northeastern states and other union territories other than Delhi have been placed in separate category. Andaman and Nicobar Islands have been the best performing in this category.
22 states and 3 union territories participated in it
On Friday, Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal issued a ranking saying that 22 states and 3 union territories have participated in it. This ranking has been decided on the basis of providing better ecosystem to establish startups to budding entrepreneurs. According to the ranking framework released in 2019, 30 marks are given on the basis of improvement in seven areas. This time the states have been ranked by dividing two sections ‘Y’ and ‘X’. All union territories except Y category Assam and Delhi have been included. All other states and union territories have been included in the X category. In the Y category, Andaman and Nicobar Islands are the best performance.
