Lemon grass cultivation process
The better time to apply lemon grass is between February to July. Once applied, it is harvested six to seven times. Three to four times a year is harvested. Oil is extracted from lemon grass. About 3 to 5 liters of oil is released from a bitter ground in a year. Its sales rate is Rs 1,000 to Rs 1,500. Its first harvesting is done 3 to 5 months after applying lemon grass. Whether the lemon grass is ready or not. To find out, break it and sniff it, if you smell the sharp fragrance of lemon, then understand that it is ready. Cut it 5 to 8 inches above the ground. In the second harvesting, 1.5 liters of oil is released per bag. Its production capacity increases for three years. The best time to prepare the nursery bed of Lemongrass is the month of March-April.

If you cultivate a hectare lemon grass, then you will get a cost of Rs 20,000 to 40,000 in the beginning. Once the crop can be harvested 3 to 4 times a year. Lemon grass is crushed like mentha and poppy. About 100 to 150 liters of oil comes out on 3 to 4 harvesting. If 5 liters of oil is released from a ton, then about 325 liters of oil will be removed from one hectare. The price of oil per liter is around Rs 1200-1500 per liter, that is, earning from 4 lakh to 5 lakh rupees can be comfortable.
