‘If BJP comes to power, there will be investigation’

The officer addressed a public meeting at Sandeshkhali in North 24 Parganas district. During this, the leader of the opposition called Chief Minister Banerjee a woman with mischievous intentions. He also said that if the BJP comes to power in the 2026 assembly elections, it will set up an inquiry commission to probe the alleged atrocities by local TMC leaders.

‘Conspiracy hatched against the women of Sandeshkhali’

Shubhendu Adhikari said, Mamata Banerjee had conspired to arrest the mothers and sisters in Sandeshkhali before the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. He was arrested on false charges because he had protested against the atrocities of local TMC leaders like Shahjahan Shaikh. If BJP comes to power, Mamata Banerjee will get severe punishment for such harassment.

Demonstrations were held in Sandeshkhali in the year 2024

There were massive protests in Sandeshkhali earlier this year. The protesters had accused local TMC leaders of land grabbing and sexually harassing women. Mamata Banerjee visited Sandeshkhali on Monday and appealed to the residents there not to give money to anyone to avail the benefits of the state government schemes. The Chief Minister had also alleged that huge sums of money were used to instigate the protests in Sandeshkhali.

‘TMC won Basirhat Lok Sabha seat with the votes of Muslims’

The BJP leader alleged that TMC won the Basirhat Lok Sabha seat, which also includes the Sandeshkhali assembly constituency, due to the votes of Muslims. However, BJP was ahead in Sandeshkhali assembly constituency. BJP will win in Sandeshkhali in the next assembly elections, as Hindu voters have unitedly voted against TMC. The official claimed that the BJP had won Nandigram in the 2021 Assembly elections and Tamluk in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections with united Hindu votes and this wave will continue.
