Bihar Riga sugar mill will restart after four years in Sitamarhi CM Nitish kumar it inaugurated ann

Riga Sugar Mill Restaurant: Riga Sugar Mill, which was closed for four years in Sitamarhi district, will now become operational. It will be inaugurated by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and other ministers on 26 December. Chief General Manager of the sugar mill P. Devarajulu has given this information. He told that the construction of the sugar mill will be done jointly by CM Nitish Kumar, Union Minister Prahlad Joshi and both the Deputy CMs of the state. This mill will be expanded after three years. Mill management, farmers and local businessmen will all benefit from this.

These things will be expanded in the mill

Chief General Manager said that in the course of expansion, the crushing capacity of this mill will be increased from 5000 TCD to 10000 TCD. Along with expansion of the distillery from 45 KLPD to 545 KLPD, power supply from 11 MW to 50 MW, 20 TDP CBG (Compressed Bio Gas Plant) will be set up from Pressmed. The Chief General Manager also said that all the workers who used to work in this mill in the past will be served.

The Chief General Manager said that no one will be left behind. All workers will be local. Mill owner Marugesh R. 30 percent of the workers in Karnataka Mill are from Bihar. Riga sugar mill will be equipped with new technology. Before this, along with providing seeds for the cultivation of new variety of sugarcane, the farmers here will also be given technical information. He said that this sugar mill is going to be operational, it has also received full support from local farmer leader Nagendra Prasad Singh.

Owner Marugesh Nirani fulfilled his promise

The new owner of the sugar mill, Marugesh R. Nirani had announced a few months ago in December that the mill would be operational under any circumstances. He is the Chairman of M/s Nirani Sugar, Bangalore. As per his promise, Nirani is going to commission the mill on time. With the inauguration of the mill on 26th, about 40 thousand people of the area will get direct/indirect benefits and will become financially strong and happy.

Mill owner Nirani has been in the sugar mill business for about 25 years. It is said that he is from a farmer family. From this perspective, I know the situation of the farmers. People of this area work hard. His effort will be to stay away from politics and think about the interests of the farmers. I will try my best to provide maximum employment. Here, the farmers of the area have high expectations from the new mill owner. People did not think that this mill would ever be operational again, but by taking the mill into her own hands, Nirani put an end to all those speculations.

Sugarcane was not paid to the farmers on time through the former sugar mill owner. Neither the district administration nor the state government could solve this problem. Payment was a big problem for the farmers. However, now farmers have full hope of easy payment. The reason is that Chairman Nirani, a native of Karnataka state, has said with full confidence that he will make payment to the farmers in lieu of sugarcane supply every week. According to mill owner Nirani, at present this mill has the capacity to produce 11 MW electricity. It will be increased to 20 MW. Will also supply electricity to the government.

Officials are continuously taking stock of the mill

Preparations are being made by the management there also for the inauguration of CM’s sugar mill on 26th December. DM Richie Pandey and other senior officials are continuously visiting the mill and taking stock of the preparations. It is worth noting that due to the closure of the sugarcane mill for the last 4 years, 40 thousand sugarcane farmers along with thousands of workers, small and big shopkeepers, traders, vehicle traders and at least 5 lakh of their associated families have been badly affected. All of them were facing the problem of livelihood. With the opening of the mill, the economic condition of the people will improve and the old days will return.
