Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday paid emotional tribute to late Mahant Ramdas at Madaria Siddhpeeth in Gola tehsil area. On this occasion, the Chief Minister while paying tribute to Mahant Ramdas said that Sanatan Dharma is the religion of welfare and salvation of human life. Mahant Ramdas remained dedicated to Sanatan and Vedic traditions throughout his life.
Ramdas, who was the Mahant of Madaria Siddhpeeth, had passed away recently. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, who was on Gorakhpur tour on Wednesday, reached Siddhapeeth and offered flowers of reverence on his portrait. Addressing the tribute meeting organized on this occasion, the Chief Minister said that Mahant Ramdas dedicated his entire life to the service of Sanatan tradition. He had a deep association with Gorakshpeeth for five decades. CM Yogi said that on his arrival at Madaria Siddhpeeth a few years ago, he had the physical presence of Mahant Ramdas.
Call to follow the footsteps of Mahant
The Chief Minister said that Mahant ji’s contribution in carrying forward the Vedic tradition will always be remembered. He always inspired people to be faithful to eternal values and India. The Chief Minister expressed hope that the present Mahant of Madaria Siddhapeeth, Shri Shadas, will continue to serve Sanatan as per his values and ideals, following the footsteps of his revered Gurudev.
Before paying tribute to Mahant Ramdas, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath performed puja as per rituals at Madaria Siddhapeeth. On this occasion, Chillupar MLA Rajesh Tripathi, BJP leader Harikesh Ram Tripathi, Amardeep Tripathi, Manish Nayak and a large number of devotees associated with Madaria Siddhpeeth were present.
Tribute to Mahant Panchanan Puri
Before Madaria, Gorakshpeethadhishwar and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath He went to Chachairam Math in Uruva area and paid tribute to the memory-loving Mahant Panchanan Puri. Panchanan Puri died on 16 November. He had deep attachment to Gorakshpeeth.
At Chachairam Math, CM Yogi offered flowers on the portrait of late Mahant Panchanan Puri and paid emotional tribute. While giving his blessings to the newly appointed young Mahant Pranab Puri of Chachairam Math, Gorakshpeethadhishwar covered him with a robe and after having a cordial conversation, assured him of all possible cooperation in the management of the Math.
On this occasion, the Chief Minister also met the devotees associated with the Math and the regional people and inquired about their well-being. A large number of local people including Chillupar MLA Rajesh Tripathi, Khajni MLA Shriram Chauhan, BJP District President Janardan Tiwari were present here.
